2026 is going to be a big year for TechTransThai. We have been making big changes to how our community runs, let’s see what we’ve prepared so far!
From Members to Maintainers
In the past, we operated on the idea of having a formal list of “TechTransThai Members” with many qualification checks and many barriers in the onboarding process. This made our community felt more like a private organization, which led to things such as having maintainership of multiple projects tied to a single person (me).
I’ve been managing a lot of things in my professional life, personal life and of course TechTransThai itself. This led to maintainer burnout on my side, stalling the progress of many, if not all, projects.
So instead of centralizing the maintainership of all projects to myself, I decided to abolish the idea of having TechTransThai members. This enabled projects to keep going, even with maintainer burnouts happening, such as the Wonderful Mobile project which is currently maintained by MindGoesBye.
This means from now on, there won’t be a canonical list of members. Instead, previous members actively contributing to a project will be promoted to maintainers, while others will be able to contribute as community members.
Projects, now more accessible.
We’ve made changes to each project’s page to make it easier to understand:
- What it does
- Where to meet other contributors, or to get help (Usually links to group chats)
- How one can contribute (Usually link to ongoing efforts)
- Who is maintaining it
This applies to all current projects and campaigns.
What happened this month?
We’ll be providing another way to stay connected with the community: This Month in TechTransThai series of blog posts!
This new blog post series will live here on TechTransThai Blog. We’ll be covering updates from all of our subprojects and other related changes (organizational, infrastructure and more!)
The first blog post of this series will be released at the end of January 2026. You can also preview (or even contribute to) the upcoming ones on our dedicated Telegram topic.
Marking the new era
To celebrate the transition, I have updated the TechTransThai logo to be more fun and friendly, making it feel more accessible to the community! This is inspired by our previous VTuber-styled alternate logo.

That’s all!
So, that’s what we’ve been up to for now. Stay tuned for our next blog post via RSS or Telegram!
